Octavia Walker Caldwell was born and raised in Haywood County, NC and graduated from Pisgah High School. She later graduated from the University of NC at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and is a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
She is on staff as an RN for the WNC Hypertension and Wellness Center. Husband, Ronald R. Caldwell, is an internist, owner and CEO of the WNC Hypertension and Wellness Center. Octavia operates as co-CEO with her husband.
Octavia is an avid tennis player, aerobic instructor, and physical fitness enthusiast. As an active member of River of Life Full Gospel, non-denominational church, she serves on the intercessory team, teacher for third through fifth grade children, and as a Deacon. Octavia and Ronald have two adult children and two grandsons.
