Mama Casey is a seasoned storyteller that never fails to delight an audience. She will take you to far away and enchanting places with her stories of culture and life. Specializing in African and African-American folktales, her mission is to preserve the oral tradition of storytelling while educating and entertaining audiences of all ages. Mama Casey credits listening to her grandparents tell stories of family members and their memories of times gone by as the foundation for her gift of storytelling. She has performed for schools, churches, senior citizens groups, museums, and literary festivals in North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia. She resides in Charlotte, North Carolina and is married to George Casey. The couple has 4 children.
