Tom Fleckenstein
is a Senior Business Counselor in the Western Regional
Center of the Small Business and Technology Development
Center based in Western Carolina University College
of Business in Cullowhee.
Prior
to joining the SBTDC, Tom taught Business, Marketing,
and Computer classes at Caldwell Community College
in Boone for 4 years; designed and conducted workshops
and seminars nationally on Ecommerce for CEO’s;
conducted market research projects foreign and domestic
industrial clients; recruited, trained and evaluated
national industrial sales forces and independent
distributor networks.
He also
co-founded and managed an applications engineering/machine
tool distributorship in Huntersville, NC for 20
years. Tom has his MBA from Gardner Webb University
and is a columnist for the Western Carolina Business
Journal, where his “Business Simple”
column is read by over 5,000 subscribers every month.
