Jeannette Butterworth is a Program Coordinator for the Center for Participatory Change, a nonprofit organization in Asheville, NC, that works to help people across Western North Carolina recognize their own power, work together, and transform their communities. As a bilingual organizer, Jeannette focuses on supporting grassroots leaders and groups in WNC's growing Latino communities and assists with program and fundraising planning, capacity building and development of leadership.
Jeannette graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1990 with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. She worked for several years as a paralegal before serving, with her husband, Milton, as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay, South America. Jeannette currently lives in Hendersonville with her husband and 2 1/2 year old daughter, Celia.
