This session allows participants an opportunity to examine what is getting in the way of our participating in arenas and institutions that can change our circumstances.

We will expose issues such as:
the source of our poverty
why are people poor
our rights and how to do something about poverty
our individual roles
What organizations should be doing to address poverty
what roles our churchs should play, since the scriptures speak of the poor always being among us
how we can build on the resources we have
how to ask for what we need and
how to change the sense of hopelessness to identify strategies to connect us to the American Dream
