In this session, you will learn to defend yourself against verbal and physical assaults by becoming
Aware of the facts about violence against women
Assertive on our own behalf, and
Skilled in physical self-defense.
The purpose of learning physical self-defense techniques is to develop the capacity to de-escalate or to incapacitate the attacker. The physical techniques are very simple and effective. They are based on striking the vulnerable targets areas on an attacker's body.

This is Judith's fourth year to present this course at the Multi-Cultural Women's Development Conference. It is our hope that every woman who attends the conference will eventually become trained in this practical method of self-defense. No special training is needed to master these techniques.

For this session, wear loose comfortable clothing and flat shoes.
