Stress and Diabetes


We all understand the correlation between diet and diabetes, but did you know that stress plays a significant role in the course and control of one of America's fastest growing disease?

Stress and trauma create unique chemical changes within the body. These changes have a direct and dramatic effect on how a diabetic body is able to metabolize glucose.

Since 1994, Dr. Bullock's focus has been on diabetes; she is involved at the national level on diabetes issues among American Indians.

You will take from this session a better understand and appreciation for how our bodies react to stress and trauma, and in particular, how these factors influence and affect diabetes.
