Mary Beth Brody is a Financial Consultant with the full service brokerage firm of A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. As a Financial Consultant she specializes in the areas of retirement planning and estate planning, along with overall asset allocation models – and of course, she loves stocks! Mary Beth takes a special interest in the financial planning needs and challenges of women and works tirelessly to educate women on the benefits of effectively managing their assets and placing investing as a top life priority.
Mary Beth began her career with the full service firm of Dean Witter Reynolds in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1997 she joined the private investment management firm of Marshall & Sullivan, Inc. of Seattle, Washington where she spent a great deal of time training brokers in the area of privately managed accounts. After three years “on the road”, Mary Beth returned to the retail brokerage industry in beautiful Highlands, North Carolina.
Outside of the fast paced exciting world of investing, Mary Beth serves as the Music Minister and Choir Director of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Highlands. An accomplished vocalist, Mary Beth obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Music at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She went on to do her Masters work at Loyola University in New Orleans where she also fell in love with Big Band singing, jazz and standards. Currently, she is a member of the Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley, 2006 Artistic Director of the Highlands Community Christian Chorale, sings with the Paul Scott Quartet and volunteers much time assisting in fund raising and financial education for REACH of Jackson County, Inc. and REACH of Macon County, Inc.
