Opal Charlene Greene was born and raised in southwestern Virginia near the Appalachian Parkway. She attended Hiawassee College in Madisonville, Tennessee. Through the sponsorship of One Dozen Who Care, Inc. she was able to attend and graduate from the New Opportunity School for Women in Berea, Kentucky in February of 2007. It was there she discovered a love of writing.
