NAZGUL WILLIAMS

 

Nazgul William was born in Lahore, Pakistan. She is second to the youngest of six sisters and one brother. Naz attended Lucie Harrison Girls High School established for families who had converted to the Christian faith in early 1900's. This school was built by the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church (now Women's Division of the United Methodist Church USA). In April 2005, Naz was commissioned as the first Pakistani United Methodist deaconess.

Naz came to the USA in May 1995. She completed her Business Administration degree in Georgia and a second degree in International Studies from Marymount Manhattan College in New York.

Presently Naz is serving as an Executive Assistant/Resident Trust at Brooks-Howell Home (a nursing home for retired GBGM missionaries and deaconesses in Asheville, North Carolina. She is also preparing to start her masters degrees in Women's Studies and Human Resource Administration.

Naz just returned from Pakistan after being away for 11 years.
