Gail was born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland and moved to the United States in 1990 after graduating from Edinburgh University. She attended graduate school at Appalachian State University and currently works as a speech and language pathologist for a multitude of small mouths. Gail is also a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist with a private practice in Asheville, NC. Gail started singing with women's vocal groups in 1998, and later found her musical niche with the Muses. Gail brings to the group not only her lovely voice, but also her passion for Celtic song.
