PATTY GRANT

Patty currently works for Analenisgi –A na le ni sgi (they are beginning) as program manager in a mental health/substance outpatient program on the Cherokee Indian reservation.

She received masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri 2001. Patty received her bachelors from Southern Nazarene in Bethany Oklahoma and her CSAC certification in NC. Patty has been in the chemical dependency field since December 1987. She has worked primarily with Native Americans many different tribes of the Southwest and the 23 Southeastern Tribes.

She has worked with native families, adult native men and spent six years working with native adolescents. 

Historical Grief and Trauma has been an important part of her work because” if we don’t look at where we came from we won’t know where we are going”. Unknown

Patty, is half Cherokee and half Lakota (Sioux) she a son Zahay. Patty has several foster children, two beautiful grandchildren Anagalisgi 2yr/o Iyani 7 months old.
