Marilyn Sprague-Smith, M.Ed. is an award-winning consultant, trainer, author, professional speaker and certified laughter leader. As co-founder and principal of the consulting firm Miracles & Magic, she partners with leaders who want to re-ignite the human spirit while taking care of business. Her clients say she is a catalyst for long-term positive change and excels at sparking creativity, infusing energy and delivering rock-solid results. Marilyn is the 2003 winner of The Larry Wilson Award, which is presented annually to an outstanding educator in a non-school-based setting by the University of Minnesota College of Education and Human Development Alumni Society.
As a Certified Laughter Leader affiliated with The World Laughter Tour, Marilyn presents leading edge stress reducing wellness programs to groups of all ages at regional and national conferences. Her column C’mon Let’s Laugh! is published monthly in 50+ Marketplace News across the Front Range, as well as regional magazines throughout the United States and Bermuda. As a frequent guest on National Public Radio’s Real People, Real Stories, she shares true stories illuminating the magical power of laughter in personal and professional relationships. She is co-author of The Princess Principle: Women Helping Women Discover Their Royal Spirit, an anthology of true stories written by 18 women whose individual voices unite to create a mega-message of hope, humor and optimism. “Succeeding in spite of adversity is the royal approach,” says Marilyn. “It’s the willingness to dare to be a sheroe in your own personal story.”
She is also a contributing author to Success is a Journey, an anthology written by top speakers, trainers, and consultants who share lessons learned that will inspire and motivate you how to bring more successful outcomes into your life.
